The R&D SXR 800 Aquavein is designed to be used with the R&D SXR 800 Ride Plate pt. # 121-80000. The rear of the Aquavein is 1/4" longer than the stock scoop grate. This is to add strength to the rear mounting surface. If you are using any other ride plate you will need to cut the front tongue of the ride plate off approximately 1/4" so the ride plate will bump up to the rear of the R&D Aquavein and install to its oem bolt hole location
